When I saw Captain Marvel, I was thrilled. I was entertained, engrossed, and had a very satisfying movie going experience. Still, while sitting back, I couldn’t help but shake the feeling I’d done this before. The characters seemed familiar, the action scenes felt worn, and the plot felt like a road I’d traveled many times already. This was a movie I’d already seen. Now many of … Continue reading Marvel’s Oversaturation Problem – ScreenHub Entertainment

In an exclusive Deadline report, Disney has done the unexpected and reinstated James Gunn as director-writer for Guardians of the Galaxy 3. The film’s production received immense controversy in July 2018 when James Gunn was removed from the Marvel series when old, controversial tweets related to paedophilia and rape resurfaced. 1. Many people who have followed my career know when I started, I viewed myself … Continue reading A Guardian Returns: James Gunn Back for ‘Guardians of the Galaxy 3’-ScreenHub Entertainment

Sony’s Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is the second Spiderverse film this year after Venom and the second film to feature a web crawler after Avengers Infinity War. That’s on top of a critically acclaimed game that released on the PS4 this fall. So we’ve had plenty of web-slinging action this year. But if you’re feeling a bit of superhero fatigue by the end of 2018 … Continue reading ‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse’ Spoiler-Free Movie Review – ScreenHub Entertainment

Spoilers for Avengers Infinity War, but if you haven’t seen it by now we figure you’re just not that interested.
Infinity War starts things off with a bang, with Thanos attacking, killing half of the Asgardian refugees and claiming the Space Stone for himself. Victims of this cleansing include Idris Elba’s Heimdall and Tom Hiddleston’s Loki. The deaths definitely set the stage for the rest of the film tonally, as it proved that no one will be safe this time around. But upon rewatching the movie at home, I began to wonder if there was more to Loki’s death than meets the eye.
Part of the fun of any Comiccon is taking in all the sights and sounds and that includes the plethora of local artists who set up shop to show off their impressive artwork inspired by the films, shows and comics they’ve consumed over the years. One such artist is local boy Chris Moore, who specializes in drawing realistic and comic book inspired portraits of superheroes. While at Comiccon, Chris was kind enough to share his time with me to give me an interview about how he got started, what inspired him and where he’s going. Earlier this week, it was revealed that Jared Leto would star in a film about Morbius the Living Vampire, the sometimes villain, sometimes anti-hero character from the Spider-Man comics. The film is set to be directed by Daniel Espinosa, who most recently worked on Life. The news came just days after it was revealed that Sony was also considering going ahead with a Silk spinoff, another character from the Spider-Man roster and who actually has already appeared in the MCU with Spider-Man: Homecoming in a way. With Venom on the horizon and word of a potential Silver Sable and Black Cat film in the works, one has to wonder if all these Spider-Man related films can work in a universe without Spider-Man?
