Although unconfirmed and denied by Warner Bros. at this point, Variety, a highly respected trade in Hollywood, says its sources have learned that a show set within the Wizarding World of Harry Potter is in the early stages of development. But since there is so little information about this maybe-show out there, we can start speculating as to what it should and could be about. … Continue reading What Should The Harry Potter TV Show On HBO Max Be About? – ScreenHub Entertainment
Update 2: Hogwarts Legacy, initially advertised as releasing in 2021 on current and last-gen consoles, has been delayed until 2022, the developer revealed in a tweet, citing the game ultimately needs more time in order to deliver a quality game. Perhaps the misfire that was the Cyberpunk 2077 launch has caused the studio to look long and hard at what’s right. The question now is … Continue reading [Update: ‘Hogwarts Legacy’ is Confirmed] Apparent Leaked Harry Potter Game Looks Amazing – ScreenHub Entertainment
Last week, a few publications did a spotlight on a certain mod from Minecraft that caught my eye. Chiefly, because it was set in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. I’m a pretty big fan of the property and I confess myself as one of those beings who would love to go to the castle just once. Of course, such a trip won’t ever really … Continue reading What It Was Like Going To Hogwarts In ‘Minecraft’ – ScreenHub Entertainment
The world has been taken aback by the novel virus known as COVID-19. Schools around the world are closing their doors, gatherings of people are discouraged or banned, restos and bars have closed, major sporting events have suspended their seasons and thousands of individuals are finding themselves in self-quarantine for fourteen days at the very least. We hope for speedy and safe recoveries to anyone … Continue reading What To Watch, Play or Learn While You’re In Self-Isolation Due To COVID-19 – ScreenHub Entertainment
Due to the nature of this film’s divisive reviews and what happens in the film, I feel it’ll be a lot more beneficial to review Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald by diving into some of the spoilers. For that, you have been warned. Crimes of Grindelwald is the second film in the five-film Harry Potter prequel series. Eddie Redmayne returns as Newt Scamander, the … Continue reading ‘Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald’ SPOILER Review – ScreenHub Entertainment
When it was announced that the Harry Potter universe would dial the clock back and head to the 1920s to tell a prequel trilogy, I was a bit concerned. I grew to be even more concerned when the planned trilogy expanded by two more films. How could they make five films about the in-universe textbook called Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them? So I … Continue reading ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’ Review – ScreenHub Entertainment
There’s no doubt in anyone’s mind that Lord Voldemort, the chief antagonist to Harry Potter in the books and films, ranks among one of the best villains of all time. He keeps good company, generally sharing lists that have the likes of Darth Vader and the Joker on them. But while he is a great antagonist, he’s not per se the best character among the Potterverse’ villains. There is another and while he’s not as menacing as Lord Voldemort (yet), I do think Gellert Grindelwald may, in fact, be a better character than Tom Riddle ever was.
You may not know who Julian Glover is off hand but there’s a good chance you’ve seen something with him in it. The 83-year-old English actor has had an illustrious career, co-starring in such films as The Empire Strikes Back, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Troy, Dr. Who, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, co-starred as the villain in 007 For Your Eyes Only and most recently, was seen quite a bit in the smash hit HBO show, Game of Thrones. Talk about a portfolio. I got front row seats to hear the thespian talk about his craft, his experiences, influences and more at Montreal Comiccon.
When the first Fantastic Beasts film came out in 2016, I expressed my enjoyment of the film overall but criticized the overall tone and story structure. The main plot, which saw Eddie Redmayne’s Newt Scamander hunt down missing beasts in 1926 New York felt weak and uninspired. Remember that Central Park scene? I wish I couldn’t. But the film was set against a much more interesting B plot, one full of dark wizards, infiltrators and dark magical and it looks like that’s where the magic will happen in the film’s sequel, Crimes of Grindelwald. Warner Bros unveiled a teaser trailer today and the film looks much more like something out of the Wizarding World than the first one ever did!
