By Sean Gallagher Billions is one of my (and Fred’s) favourite shows on television. It’s a smart Wall Street drama that shows us the corruption both within a fictitious hedge fund and the District Attorney’s office, creating a wonderful playground for grimy characters. It’s also not as good as it used to be. It’s not terrible, I think later seasons of Billions are still better … Continue reading The ‘Billions’ Cinematic Universe is Coming…Yay? – ScreenHub Entertainment
House of the Dragon just concluded its debut season and overall, I’m very content with what was on offer. That’s a huge relief, as season eight of Game of Thrones was a little rough around the edges. I’m firmly in the school of thought that most of season eight’s character beats made sense, but that the season rushed through them, resulting in major moments not … Continue reading Interest Renewed: What To Read While We Wait For Season Two of ‘House of the Dragon’ – ScreenHub Entertainment

The rumoured almost one billion-dollar production has been met with skepticism (from yours truly), uncertainty and even hate from all sectors of the fandom. While I won’t understand hating something so passionately before it even debuts, I do know why fans have been so skeptical over the series. … Continue reading ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power’ Episodes 1 & 2 Spoiler Review – ScreenHub Entertainment

Three months into 2022 and we’ve finally gotten our first piece of Marvel content from the year. This comes in the form of a new show on Disney+ called Moon Knight, starring Oscar Issac and is part of Marvel Cinematic Universe’s fourth wave. Vikings was one of the most popular and unique shows on television when it was on the air. Which was something of a surprise, as it was kind of the anti-TV show. Produced by the History Channel, the show featured characters that were heathen pagans with motivations and beliefs that don’t resonate with modern audiences and a culture that featured tons of heinous and bizarre … Continue reading ‘Vikings: Valhalla’ Is Good, But Falls Short Compared To Its Predecessor [Mild Spoilers] – ScreenHub Entertainment
The future is digital. When it started, Netflix was the only competitive name in the international market for online streaming content, offering competitive prices and a wide variety of content. Needless to say, the playing field has changed since 2007. Now, audiences have a wide variety of services to chose from, including Amazon Prime, Hulu, HBO Go and the upcoming Disney Streaming Service, which will offer original Marvel content and the upcoming, $100 million Jon Favreau Star Was show. There are more top-tier options to chose from as well, including Sling, Playstation VUE and CBS streaming site All Access, which recently revealed Patrick Stuart’s return as Picard in an upcoming Star Trek show. YouTube has gotten into creating original content with Cobra Kai and Apple is looking to create original content by 2019 after investing $1 billion in the venture.
While the cost of streaming still is cheaper than regular cable for most, how long before those combined costs surpass the cost of cable?
