Here is my spoiler-free review of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.  Sam Raimi is one of my favorite directors and this movie is a Sam Raimi film first and foremost. You can see this with the various horror elements and the way he utilizes transitions. It feels, unlike anything that’s come out of the MCU before. It’s a pretty big departure from what we’ve seen at the franchise before. I can see some people not necessarily liking it, but for me, it works. like, I love it and this film goes hard. I can’t wait to discuss it in more detail when it’s available in theaters for everyone to watch. But if you’re looking for a different kind of MCU film, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

No spoiler Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness review coming at you right now, from a big old Wanda stan. I was lucky enough to attend a fan screening of the movie and guys, it did not disappoint. I will be the first to admit I had my reservations about this movie. I love Strange, I love Wonda, I love Sam Raimi, but I don’t love variants as a concept in the MCU, especially after the Loki series. Sorry, It just, wasn’t for me. I knew that that would sort of come into this film and I was a little bit anxious about it. However, this film did deliver.

It was a wild, crazy ride. I will not spoil any story points, but I will just give my first reaction.

Elizabeth Olsen’s acting in this is insane. I was so scared of her at times and then heartbroken by her and other times. It’s a very different Marvel film and I like when Marvel pushes the boat out and gives us something that we aren’t expecting. I liked that in The Eternals. This is completely different from what I expected. They said it would be a horror film and it was.

Some scenes and dialogue, I wasn’t a huge fan of. They sort of took me at the moment. But on the whole, I loved it. I did love it. I found the concept of Multiverse and variants much less confusing in this film. I felt a bit more like I had an understanding of it by the end. I think with Loki and Spider-Man I was still a little bit like “okay, but what does this mean? How does this all work?”. But this film I think it finally gave me an understanding. Do I sound stupid for that?

America Chavez is also super cute. She’s really fun. Now, I will not spoil any cameos, but I will say some people are rumored to be in it that Maybe are and some aren’t. Some that I was expecting to show up, but didn’t. I’m not saying any more.

I will also say there’s one scene in this film. And if you’ve seen it, you probably know the one that I mean, but it’s crazy. I wasn’t expecting it. It worked, It came so, out of nowhere, and I just sat in my seat, like, for a good ten minutes after the scene had happened.

I’ll admit I was more hyped for Thor: Love and Thunder than I was for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. But, after seeing it, you guys are going to love it and I loved it. It surpassed my expectations. So go out and see it wherever you are. Yeah. Go watch it. It was super cool.
