‘Ready Player One’ Review: Does The Pop Culture Mash Up Work? ScreenHub Entertainment

For the past few years now, legendary director Steven Spielberg has made some great films, including The Post and Bridge of Spies. But these are very much films, made with a certain audience in mind and made in a much different fashion than mainstream films. But Spielberg is also the man behind Raiders of the Lost Ark and Jurassic Park, he knows just as much about blockbusters-heck he invented them with Jaws! So he returns to the genre with Ready Player One, based on the book of the same name. So how does it fair?

‘Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald’ Teaser Is Here, My Thoughts – ScreenHub Entertainment

When the first Fantastic Beasts film came out in 2016, I expressed my enjoyment of the film overall but criticized the overall tone and story structure. The main plot, which saw Eddie Redmayne’s Newt Scamander hunt down missing beasts in 1926 New York felt weak and uninspired. Remember that Central Park scene? I wish I couldn’t. But the film was set against a much more interesting B plot, one full of dark wizards, infiltrators and dark magical and it looks like that’s where the magic will happen in the film’s sequel, Crimes of Grindelwald. Warner Bros unveiled a teaser trailer today and the film looks much more like something out of the Wizarding World than the first one ever did!

‘Star Wars Rebels’ Comes To An End, What It Means, And The Show’s Legacy – ScreenHub Entertainment

After four seasons, Star Wars Rebels came to a close. And what a finisher it was. For an animated television series on Disney XD, it had the production value and thrills of a blockbuster film. It also didn’t help that the network aired three episodes as the last hoorah, making it roughly an hour and a half of Rebels in one go. It definitely felt like what you would expect for a Star Wars finale, full of temptation, conflict and resolution. So how did the series fair overall? In this article, there’ll be spoiler talk for season 4 and its finale, as well as the series as a whole. Let’s get into it!

Opinion: Why Kylo Ren Should Survive The Events Of ‘Episode IX’ – ScreenHub Entertainment

Spoilers ahead for The Last Jedi

In January 2018, Empire Magazine made a list of the greatest movie villains of all time. The big bads were all there, including Darth Vader, Voldemort, Joker and Hans Gruber. What surprised a lot of people though is that the relevantly new villain, Kylo Ren, who is the primary antagonist in the current Star Wars saga, came in at number seven. With the recent announcement of the home video release dates and production set to begin on Episode IX in the next few months, now seemed like a good time as ever to talk about the future of Kylo Ren.

AMC’s ‘The Terror’ Looks Terrifying – ScreenHub Entertainment

The ‘Solo: A Star Wars Story’ Trailer Is Out; Am I Still Worried? – ScreenHub Entertainment

By Sean Gallagher

For those who have been following my writings over the past year at Moviepilot, you’ll be familiar that I’ve been pretty vocal about my uncertainty about the existence of a “young Han Solo” film. I wasn’t sure we needed this film to begin with and the troubled production only fueled the concern for many fans. After waiting a lot longer than normal, we finally have footage for the upcoming Star Wars anthology film. Does it change my mind at all?

“Cloverfield: Overlord” Gets Revealed, Will Be Set During WWII – ScreenHub Entertainment

Update:

At Cinemacon, producer J.J. Abrams offered an update about “Overlord” to audiences. While the cast, director and plot summary remain in tact, Abrams denies that his upcoming historical horror film is part of the Cloverfield universe. Now, this could all be a ruse to distract audiences but Abrams did say that a proper Cloverfield sequel would be hitting the big screen “soon” and that Overlord is very much it’s own, R rated thing (an apparent first for Bad Robot). So why the sudden shift? It could be that Overlord was never meant to be part of the sci-fi universe that is Cloverfield, or that the poor reception to The Cloverfield Paradox has Abrams and company shifting the attention of this movie away from the franchise for the time being. Time will (maybe) tell.

Original story follows.
