The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Episode 8: ‘Shadow and Flame’ and Overall Season Two Review – ScreenHub Entertainment

Spoilers The Rings of Power’s second season is now concluded and it’s safe to say it was an overall improvement over season one. That said, the show was wildly inconsistent and some episodes really suffered from this as a result. But the season’s finale was much better than the first season’s rushed finale and set things up for big things to come while having some … Continue reading The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Episode 8: ‘Shadow and Flame’ and Overall Season Two Review – ScreenHub Entertainment

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Episode 7: ‘Doomed To Die’ Spoiler Review – ScreenHub Entertainment

If there’s one thing The Rings of Power can’t be accused of, is doing poor action set pieces. This was true in the first season during the battle in the Southlands and this remains true with season two’s big action set pieces. What’s wild is that the action isn’t even done yet, as the assault will continue in next week’s finale! But just because the … Continue reading The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Episode 7: ‘Doomed To Die’ Spoiler Review – ScreenHub Entertainment

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power ‘Where Is He?’ Spoiler Review – ScreenHub Entertainment

Coming off of two weeks of Rings of Power, where I said we had the worst and best of the series to date respectively, the sixth episode of season two lands somewhere in the middle of the quality scale. The pieces are in place for the Siege of Eregion next week, but this week the show made sure to check in on almost all the … Continue reading The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power ‘Where Is He?’ Spoiler Review – ScreenHub Entertainment

House of the Dragon Episode Eight: ‘The Queen Who Ever Was’ & Overall Season Two Thoughts – ScreenHub Entertainment

Episode eight of House of the Dragon’s second season would have been a great penultimate episode, but it comes up as a surprise disappointment for the finale. With a reduced episode count, the season barreled toward a conclusion that largely felt like nothing more than set up for events to come, while simultaneously dragging its heels. Instead of wrapping this season up in a meaningful … Continue reading House of the Dragon Episode Eight: ‘The Queen Who Ever Was’ & Overall Season Two Thoughts – ScreenHub Entertainment

House of the Dragon Episode 7 ‘The Red Sowing’ Spoiler Review – ScreenHub Entertainment

It’s a bit hard to believe that this week’s episode of House of the Dragon was, in fact, the penultimate for the season. Episode seven, titled The Red Sowing, built on the foundation of last week’s entry by focusing on the concept of the Dragonseeds. It was a more focused episode for sure, with some great payoffs, and some nagging issues that persist. I’m not … Continue reading House of the Dragon Episode 7 ‘The Red Sowing’ Spoiler Review – ScreenHub Entertainment

‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ Spoiler-Free Review – ScreenHub Entertainment

It’s been since Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 that I’ve seen an MCU movie on the big screen, so it was amusing to hear that now-iconic fanfare play over the logo ushering Deadpool into the Disney-owned Marvel Cinematic Universe. If you were afraid that the House of Mouse would put a leash on the merc with the mouth, then think again. This movie is … Continue reading ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ Spoiler-Free Review – ScreenHub Entertainment

Thumbs Up or Thumbs Down? ‘Those About To Die’ Review -ScreenHub Entertainment

How often do you think about the Roman Empire? If you’re anything like me, the answer is probably more than you’d like to admit, which is why I naturally had to tune into Peacock’s latest big-budget swords-and-sandals epic Those About to Die. Based on the book of the same name, which served as the inspiration for Ridley Scott’s Gladiator, this a pretty melodramatic and inconsistent … Continue reading Thumbs Up or Thumbs Down? ‘Those About To Die’ Review -ScreenHub Entertainment

House of the Dragon: Episode Six ‘Smallfolk’ Spoiler Review – ScreenHub Entertainment

A tighter episode than last week’s, House of the Dragon both pushes the plot forward and continues to spin its wheels in place with some of its many plot points. It’s an experience that’s still entertaining and engaging for sure, but one that grows equally frustrating, especially when there’s only two episodes left now that episode six, titled Smallfolk, has wrapped up. No surprise to … Continue reading House of the Dragon: Episode Six ‘Smallfolk’ Spoiler Review – ScreenHub Entertainment

‘The Acolyte’ Finale And Overall Season Review – ScreenHub Entertainment

Well, we’re here at the end and it was a bit of a rocky road to get there. But The Acolyte has finished its first season and a lot of what I thought was going to happen, did come to pass over the course of the season. So the finale, aptly titled The Acolyte, wasn’t anything really shocking in that regard, but it featured another … Continue reading ‘The Acolyte’ Finale And Overall Season Review – ScreenHub Entertainment
