‘Solo: A Star Wars Story’ Review – ScreenHub Entertainment

“I have a bad feeling about this”. That’s what crossed many Star Wars fans’ minds, myself included, when Solo: A Star Wars Story was first announced. After a shaky production, which saw original directors Lord and Miller get the boot and replaced by Hollywood old guard Ron Howard, Solo: A Star Wars Story is finally here. Set prior to the events of A New Hope and Rogue One, Solo follows a much younger Han Solo in his early smuggling years.  Played this time by Alden Ehrenreich, the film has a lot to prove as many fans have been vocal about not wanting to see Han Solo’s early years and after the mixed reception to The Last Jedi which divided the fan base, Solo needed to be a hit. So how is it?

Last night, the official full-length trailer for Solo: A Star Wars story dropped. A lot of riding on the success of this particular film. The fanbase is divided after The Last Jedi and many of those who felt shorthanded are looking to Solo to provide that classic Star Wars feel. The ‘Solo: A Star Wars Story’ Trailer Is Out; Am I Still Worried? – ScreenHub Entertainment

For those who have been following my writings over the past year at Moviepilot, you’ll be familiar that I’ve been pretty vocal about my uncertainty about the existence of a “young Han Solo” film. I wasn’t sure we needed this film to begin with and the troubled production only fueled the concern for many fans. After waiting a lot longer than normal, we finally have footage for the upcoming Star Wars anthology film. Does it change my mind at all?
