Actor Tony Todd, of ‘Candyman’, Dead at 69 – ScreenHub Entertainment

Actor Tony Todd, best known for his iconic horror roles in the Candyman films, has died at the age of 69. He passed away Wednesday at his home in Marina del Rey after a long illness, his wife told The Hollywood Reporter.

He is best known by horror fans for his long career in the genre, but he had more than 200 acting credits over his 40-year career in the industry. His other notable film credits include Final Destination, Platoon, The Crow, The Rock, and the 1990 remake of The Night of the Living Dead.

Newline Cinema, the studio responsible for the Final Destination films, posted this statement on their Instagram:

“The industry has lost a legend. We have lost a cherished friend. Rest in peace, Tony, -Your Final Destination Family,”
