A Different Kind of Star Wars: An ‘Aliens vs. Predator’ Retrospective – Screenhub Entertainment

These days, it’s hard to think of Aliens vs. Predator without rolling your eyes. The title evokes less than pleasant memories of the 2004 film and its abysmal sequel, films that seemed more like B movie fluff than anything else. But there was a time when Aliens vs. Predator generated a lot of excitement in the fanbase, with titles that were comparable to the films … Continue reading A Different Kind of Star Wars: An ‘Aliens vs. Predator’ Retrospective – Screenhub Entertainment

A Look Back: ‘The Crow’ – ScreenHub Entertainment

October 30th. The night before Halloween. To most, the day passes by without much fanfare. There’s nothing special about it. But the same can’t be said of those who have ever watched the 1994 cult film The Crow. The film is equal parts superhero flick and supernatural thriller, with more gothic style than you can shake an eyeliner at. The film’s legacy is marred with … Continue reading A Look Back: ‘The Crow’ – ScreenHub Entertainment

Star Wars Resistance: ‘Fuel for the Fire’ Review – ScreenHub Entertainment

The third episode to be made available before settling into a weekly schedule is called Fuel for the Fire and guest stars one of our favourite hobbits. Yup, Elijah Wood plays the young hotshot named Rucklin and gets Kaz into some serious trouble. It’s a bit jarring hearing such a recognizable name at first, but you grow to get used to it and quickly grow … Continue reading Star Wars Resistance: ‘Fuel for the Fire’ Review – ScreenHub Entertainment

‘Star Wars Resistance: ‘The Recruit’ Review – ScreenHub Entertainment

A new Star Wars animated show has landed, created by LucasFilm golden boy Dave Filoni. The show is an anime-inspired tale that features ace pilots, spies and a light-hearted tone, something that initially made the already divided fanbase even more touchy. The first two trailers for the show saw a huge dislike ratio on YouTube and comments were less than enthusiastic. Now that the show … Continue reading ‘Star Wars Resistance: ‘The Recruit’ Review – ScreenHub Entertainment

‘The Predator’ Trades Horror For Humor With Mixed Results – ScreenHub Entertainment

Seeing the original Predator at 12 introduced me to a leaner, meaner kind of movie I hadn’t yet been exposed to. Times were different then. There were only two Predator movies, Aliens vs. Predator hadn’t yet left comics and video games, and sequels were something everyone was clamouring for. Times have changed. Now fans of this series react at best with scepticism when a new … Continue reading ‘The Predator’ Trades Horror For Humor With Mixed Results – ScreenHub Entertainment
