Theory: What Is The Star Wars Canon Setting Up In The Unknown Regions? – ScreenHub Entertainment

Spoilers for Thrawn: Alliances and minor spoilers for Rebels Season 4.

It appears there’s been an awakening in the Star Wars Canon. Timothy Zahn recently released Thrawn: Alliances, which chronicles the exploits of both Anakin and Darth Vader and their fragile alliances with the master tactician Grand Admiral Thrawn in during The Clone Wars and pre-Rogue One. While the novel showcased its main story, it seemingly set up a major conflict to come.

The origin of this conflict dates back to the Aftermath trilogy, set in the year after Return of the Jedi. Through flashbacks, we learned that Emperor Palpatine had sensed something out in the Unknown Regions of space and was trying to communicate with this powerful force sensitive entity. From the third book, Empire’s End:

“The Emperor was convinced that something waited for him out there — some origin of the Force, some dark presence formed of malevolent substance. He said he could feel the waves of it radiating out now that the way was clear. The Emperor called it a signal — conveniently one that only he could hear.”

‘Mission: Impossible – Fallout’ Review – ScreenHub Entertainment

Usually, when a film franchise reaches its sixth film, we as audience members tend to roll our eyes and say it’s a lack of creativity, they’re milking it and that it won’t be that good. And while that may be true of most film franchises, the same cannot be said of Mission: Impossible, which just released its sixth film, Fallout, this past weekend. The series is known best these days for the seemingly psychotic stunts actor Tom Cruise pulls and Fallout brings that fact to the next level.

1001 Movies: Intro – ScreenHub Entertainment

Movies. Everyone loves them and everyone watches them. Whether it’s watching an escapist form of entertainment, where you’re given a chance to check your brain at the door and just enjoy the movie for what it is, or you seek out a more artistic endeavor that has you thinking and feeling deeply, there’s no denying that movies are a big part of our culture and lives.

As an avid movie watcher though, the 100+ years of films can seem rather overwhelming. With millions of movies to choose from, it can become a difficult task when it comes to picking a movie for your Friday night movie nights. Especially if you’re trying to play catch-up and watch the classics, revisiting films from the past to expand your Film Buff Knowledge.

As a lifelong fan, it’s hard not to get excited after the debut of the spectacular trailer for Godzilla: King of the Monsters at Comic-Con. Not only does it boast some breathtaking images and the return of several series icons, the set-up seems similar to one of the most warmly regarded entries in the original Showa series; Ghidorah: The Three Headed Monster. Why ‘Predator’ Is A Subversive Masterpiece – ScreenHub Entertainment

Most people don’t think ‘art’ when discussing Predator. The 1987 science fiction classic is fondly remembered for spectacular action, quotable dialogue, and a monster who has joined the ranks of Frankenstein and Dracula as a cultural icon. However, many overlook some of the film’s more subtle underpinnings. Though at a glance the film is just another entry into the 80s cycle of action films, it … Continue reading Why ‘Predator’ Is A Subversive Masterpiece – ScreenHub Entertainment

SDCC: Why The ‘Aquaman’ Trailer Didn’t Completely Reel Me In-ScreenHub Entertainment

The big winner at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con was without a doubt Warner Bros, dishing out a ton of amazing trailers and news, including a sneak peek at Wonder Woman 1984, a surprise trailer for Shazam!, a look ahead at their TV programs including a look at the DC streaming service, and killer trailer for Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald; a contender for best trailer of the show in my opinion. But the clear audience winner was the trailer for Aquaman. At the time of the start of this writing, a day after the trailer debuted, it’s still the number one trending video on youtube. The film is due this December and has only just started its marketing campaign, causing a lot of hype and anticipation around the film. Now that the trailer has surfaced (sorry), let’s talk about it and why it was actually a bit of a letdown.

Why ‘Eighth Grade’ Was the Movie We Needed – ScreenHub Entertainment

The film industry is responsible for how the public perceives an array of issues, with people looking to movies for a sense of personal representation. Such casting is not limited by genre – one can watch romance, … Continue reading Why ‘Eighth Grade’ Was the Movie We Needed – ScreenHub Entertainment

How Hollywood Dilutes Diversity – ScreenHub Entertainment

The onset of 2018 brought its own set of disruptions that upset society’s normally peaceful façade. With such disorder came a surge of change that has yet to show any signs of slowing. Among these controversial conversations were political talks centred around a push for equality of all kinds – equality for racial minorities, for women, for the LGBT+ community. While none of these topics have emerged as novelty ideas, previously unfamiliar to humanity, their importance has been widely disregarded throughout history by people in positions of power. Politicians, the media, and the big businesses alike have turned a blind eye to the most marginalized groups in society; yet, as this new era dawns, many are determined to give prominence to those whose lives are too often neglected.

Can Sony’s “Spider-Verse” Work Without Spider-Man? – ScreenHub Entertainment

Ever since Tobey Maguire was shooting webs out of his wrists, Spider-Man has had his home at Sony. That was a different time when the studio was focusing on one movie at a time and one franchise at once without even considering spinoffs. Flash forward to the Andrew Garfield era and you can tell that Sony’s priorities have shifted, especially with the release of The … Continue reading Can Sony’s “Spider-Verse” Work Without Spider-Man? – ScreenHub Entertainment

Music or Morality: What Takes Priority? – ScreenHub Entertainment

At a time when a musician’s image is arguably just as important as the actual work they produce, is it possible to separate person from music? This is question many are asking themselves right now, but the resulting answers seem to be cracking the very foundation of pop culture; people are not hesitant to give their opinions on the matter, falling victim to a divisive debate over the sensitive subject of morality and whether or not this has any place in the music industry.
