Marvel’s Oversaturation Problem – ScreenHub Entertainment

When I saw Captain Marvel, I was thrilled. I was entertained, engrossed, and had a very satisfying movie going experience. Still, while sitting back, I couldn’t help but shake the feeling I’d done this before. The characters seemed familiar, the action scenes felt worn, and the plot felt like a road I’d traveled many times already. This was a movie I’d already seen. Now many of … Continue reading Marvel’s Oversaturation Problem – ScreenHub Entertainment

Despite The Turmoil, Rian Johnson Is Still Making ‘Star Wars’ Movies & We Don’t Deserve Him – ScreenHub Entertainment

It must not be too easy being Rian Johnson right these days. The acclaimed director of films like Brick and Looper and in my opinion, the best episode of Breaking Bad, “Ozymandias”, landed a dream job and got to direct a Star Wars movie. Not just any Star Wars movie, but the eighth episode in the core saga. The hype was certainly real as all … Continue reading Despite The Turmoil, Rian Johnson Is Still Making ‘Star Wars’ Movies & We Don’t Deserve Him – ScreenHub Entertainment

Spielberg’s Misguided War – ScreenHub Entertainment

Steven Spielberg has put himself at the center of quite the controversy. Since the Oscar Nomination of the Netflix original movie Roma, the veteran has begun a campaign to make sure that streamed movies are never again allowed to qualify for the Academy Awards. Many have viewed this this as a rather villainous stance from Mr. Spielberg, and while I disagree with his stance on … Continue reading Spielberg’s Misguided War – ScreenHub Entertainment

What’s Up With Bond 25? – ScreenHub Entertainment

One number: 007! Of course, you know his name; Bond…James Bond. There is a good chance most of you are desperately waiting for the blond gentleman (or dark-haired if, like me, you grew up with Pierce Brosnan as the secret agent) to come back to the big screen. Following Spectre in 2015, which left a bitter aftertaste for many Bond fans, we only heard rumours … Continue reading What’s Up With Bond 25? – ScreenHub Entertainment

‘Shazam!’ Review-ScreenHub Entertainment

Shazam! is the latest offering from within the DC Extended Universe, the cinematic universe where one might find Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman. However, like it’s predecessor, Aquaman, the film is less concerned about trying to the greater cinematic universe and instead focuses on a much more smaller and human story than we’re used to in these DC films. Shazam! is all the better for … Continue reading ‘Shazam!’ Review-ScreenHub Entertainment

‘The Order’ Movie Review – ScreenHub Entertainment

If you’re like me, you may have noticed Netflix was pushing a show called The Order down your throat. Every time I’d log in for around a week, it’d be there at the top. I was getting emails about it. But oddly enough, no one was talking about it. There was no buzz, heck I hadn’t even heard about it until it was released. So … Continue reading ‘The Order’ Movie Review – ScreenHub Entertainment

Michael Jackson, Celebrity Worship, and ‘Death of the Author’ – ScreenHub Entertainment

America loves its celebrities, so when one betrays their image, it can prove a bitter pill to swallow. The legacy of pop titan Michael Jackson has been tarnished for some time due to many allegations of child sexual abuse, but for a long time, these like many other scandals, were forgotten. That has all changed since Leaving Neverland. Now, not only are Jackson’s apparent victims … Continue reading Michael Jackson, Celebrity Worship, and ‘Death of the Author’ – ScreenHub Entertainment
